WHO declares end to deadly hantavirus outbreak from cruise ship
The World Health Organization has officially declared an end to a hantavirus outbreak linked to the cruise ship MV Hondius after the last quarantined passenger tested negative and returned home on July 2, 2026. The outbreak claimed three lives.
