Deep-sea mining threatens majority of hydrothermal vent molluscs, warns IUCN in latest Red List update
The International Union for Conservation of Nature has warned that deep-sea mining endangers over half of all known mollusc species living around hydrothermal vents, with 125 of 201 species now threatened with extinction.
