Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has stressed that the nation's growth trajectory must be distributed fairly across all social strata, with particular attention to communities in rural and disadvantaged areas. Addressing attendees at a gathering in Muar on June 15, the Prime Minister cautioned against an approach that prioritises only major infrastructure or technological modernisation at the expense of ordinary citizens.

The development framework, according to Anwar, should meaningfully enhance living standards for agricultural workers, fishing communities, paddy farmers and small-scale entrepreneurs who form a significant portion of the population. He underlined that convenience and improved conditions for lower-income groups remain equally critical to national progress.

While acknowledging the importance of emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence and digital transformation for long-term competitiveness, Anwar reiterated that the MADANI Government views rural income security and community welfare as fundamental objectives. He indicated that government machinery works through relevant agencies to ensure aid reaches intended beneficiaries efficiently.

The Prime Minister called on Cabinet members and political figures to engage directly with constituents, listening to their concerns and addressing difficulties on the ground. He argued that effective leadership requires the willingness to champion the interests of ordinary Malaysians and safeguard them from being excluded as the country modernises.
